The new two-story, 168,181 SF middle school for Carroll Independent School District located in Southlake, Texas features a competition football field, track and field amenities and full and partial practice fields.

To significantly reduce energy costs, a geothermal heating/cooling system was installed with more than 500 source wells on the site. A grant from the State Energy Conservation Office (SECO) also provided funding for a 460 KW solar array which is installed on the school’s roof, making it one of the largest rooftop solar arrays in the state. Carroll ISD has a goal of reducing energy costs by as much as 70%.
